KADAL music review

A movie from Madras Talkies, wow every Manirathnam fan would be excited on release of the album. And of course die hard fans of ARR(Oscar boy). We already know the chemistry between ARR and Manirathnam, both of them together gave many albums which we still listen to enjoy unlike seasonal hits from others.

With album ARR has broken the boundaries of Tamil music, yes he didn't stick to general music compositions. This album makes magic and gets Tamil music to International paradigm. This would be the first movie with rural backdrop but the music going completely western. The lyrics penned with strong rural Tamil words and vocal in country style, but the music remains completely western. A first of kind fusion which is really a magic, A new level of musical magic from ARR.

This gives the same feel of every ARR track when we hear it first time."is this from ARR, oh no man, it cant be this way". But when you continue hearing it multiple time you won't stop listening to it,Even if you hear million times. Every time when you listen to it, we feel a new magic, yes every time you will experience a new magic. Vairamuthu, Madhan Karky and Aaryan Dinesh Kanagarathnam did a fantastic job with their pens for the 7 track magic.

CHITTHIRAI NILA - Vijay Yesudas
After VTV's Anbil avan, it was the song for every marriage. With Chitirai Nila, every baby will ask for it :) yeh its a lullaby for every newborn.

ADIYEEE - Sid Sriram,Maria Roe
A song describing his lady love. Really a different experience for this kind of song, generally this sort of song in Tamil cinema will be a lovely melody but not this. With the lyrics it will surely remind you of your lady love :) "Intha kaatu paya aatu kutti pola un pinaal vaaraaneee" Listen it to experience it :)

Moongil thottam - Harini, Sekar, Abhay
A soft magic from the singers with their soft voice and the soft chords from ARR. Will make you close your eyes and dive deep. When Harini starts her voice "Kolathan karayulaa" at 1:30 after a silence, it makes us go crazy. Wonderful composition and vocals.A lovely duet for your romance :)

Elayee Kichan - ARR
Awesomatic song starts praising the sea(Kadal) then slowly comparing his sweetheart with fishes, then it gets more romantic and the music too. A folk touch in between rocks. Below are the lines which highlights the song.

Very nice and magical song we have been hearing for past few days from MTV unplugged. It needs no introductions. A part of all our playlists.

Anbin Vaasalaee - Haricharan
A nice combo for high pitch song and it is delivered. A revolution in spiritual song. This track is a spiritual retreat praising Jesus. Hopefully for Christmas treat :)
Magudi Magudi - Aryan Dinesh, ChinmayeeWowww.... This song is entirely different and make you go wild and crazy. The way it starts and the thundering beats with rap from Dinesh is just aweosome. Chinmayee's voice and verses adds great value to the track. A hyper energetic, thundering, bombastic track to start your day. If you start with this song your productivity will be double :)

These lines can't express everything in the song. Get it and dive deep into it, you will feel it.
From selection of genres for each songs, composition, instruments till singers he did a fabulous job to treat his fans. Hats off sir :)

About the album in one line:
It is magical and you can't stop listening to it and you need to fall in love with it :)

Ethir Neechal - Music review

Ethir Neechal -Directed by Senthil, produced by Dhanush, music composed by Anirudh, is a cheap music album considering the budget with vocals in most of the songs from Dhanush and Anirudh(cost cutting ?? :P) but it is effective :)

This album has 6 tracks of very good variety ranging from melody to hip hop...

> Un Paarvaiyil - Anirudh , Vivek Siva

   Think this is for Priya's introduction. A nice composition from Anirudh in this 1 minute bit song. This starts with a breeze then a slow music and then a flute which will definitely make you go crazy and it keep on playing in our ears even after pulling out the ear phones. 

> Nijamellam Maranthu pochu - Dhanush, Anirudh

 Really a great work from Anirudh but I feel he should have gone with some other better singers like Karthik, Naresh Iyer etc. The start was mesmerizing but getting bored as the song proceeds.The composition seem to be wasted by the vocals. This song didn't impress much as a whole. Lets wait to check if the visuals can make this song a hit.

> Velicha Poove - Mohit Chauhan, Shreya Goshal

 A slow song , soft melody sounds like Po nee Po.... not very impressive but a decent song...

> Boomi Enna Suthuthee - Anirudh

   The best one and the peppy number of this album. Nice work from Anirudh and his potential well exhibited in vocal too. This song starts slow, then gets faster then slow and its like a roller coaster ride, this definitely has a place in your daily playlist.

> Local boys - Dhanush , velmurugan

 Here comes the kuthu song, a song to dance... a song to start a day actively :) good composition from Anirudh again and the way he used nadaswaram was mind blowing. Sure hit. Lyrics plays a great role here. But this tune sounds like a xerox copy of Chikenei Chameli of Agneepath.

> Ethir Neechal -  YO YO Honey Singh, Hip Hop Tamizah Athi

 A happy mood song with fast beats for your feet to dance. Ultra beats with rappers Athi and Honey Singh rapping and rocking. You will surely enjoy this song. "who is thiss??? aaaa unga aaaya" highlight of this track.

Anirudh makes a great mark with his second album. This definitely a big hit. We are yet to know if he scores good music but he is making his songs going viral among Tamil audience. Composes to need and mood of Tamil audiences.

Neethane En Ponvasantham

Neethane en ponvasantham - Most awaited movie from Goutham Vasudev Menon....

With music from maestro and after romantic hits like Minnale, VTV, Vaaranam Aaiyiram this movie had more expectations from a few and most them already thought Goutham might cheat us :P so lets see what happens here..

Story - Very simple it has nothing much than hero and heroine chasing each other again and again and fighting again and again :)

Cast - Jeeva and samantha's performance were quite good but at times, it was like did goutham didn't extract much or its end of their potential. Some scenes sounds very artificial. Santhanam was awesome asusual :) a great plus to the movie.

Director - we all know this guy... whose movie will be filled with most english dialogues, hero and heroine's parents always speak english, concentrates only on main cast and even their siblings won't have any improvement in their life throughout the movie... but this had changed a bit :P but not completely.. Definitely not goutham's best.. VTV was better...Goutam lost his place in my list of good directors when I saw a girl with Kaathadi in Ennodu Va Va song during the verse "manam oru kaathadi"  why this kolaveri????

Cinematography - Not the best one..close up and long shots for a longer duration doesn't work...could have been better

Screenplay - Screenplay was very dragging and the whole crowd got restless in a few sequences. It could have been still better...

Music - BGM and songs were very nice but I feel Maestro time is over like sachin's performance... VTV was better in this aspect too... Most of the songs goes with the movie... when the movie itself dragged and irritated the audience the voice of maestro comes and makes the crowd restless...it could have been avoided, its clearly not suiting the situation...

The opening song shot in SSN , every corner of SSN gives a flashback of each moment we enjoyed in SSN, the song just took inspirations from SSN life :)

Romantics and lover boys - can watch and you might like this

Movie freaks - not great plot or technology inside

comedy lovers - santhanam does well but he has less part

Samantha fans - you might get disappointed like me as goutham fails to show her pretty than mouli(Naan E)...

Hollywood movie lovers - definitely this is not for you :) 

Movie strictly for people who believe that love is magical :)

this may not be your love story but the scenes and characters can be in your love story :) :) :)
